POSITION OVERVIEW
Full-time position within TRG Groups Marketing department focusing on the creation and production of printed materials including catalogs, brochures, point-of-sale events, product packaging (header cards, boxes, labels), sales force support (fact sheets, sell sheets, virtual presentations) and interactive design (e-mails, web page graphics). In addition to creative, a team leader role is included and will provide guidance and direction to graphic designers as needed to insure project success. This position works across all categories of business within TRG: Victorinox, Private Label, International and Corporate Markets.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for compelling design that is current with industry standards while satisfying
brand/project guidelines
Completes projects from concepts to printing on time, within budget and with minimal supervision
Provides guidance and direction to graphic designers as needed
Coordinates all details with internal and external parties to fulfill projects
Determines project specifications and recommends resourceful design and production solutions
Determines photography style, suggest compositions and attend photo shoots with photographers
when necessary
Bids projects with vendors to obtain a baseline for project cost
Prepare files for printing (domestic or international printers)
Meticulous proofing which includes review of artwork before it is sent to a printer, review of digital and physical samples and detailed record keeping of when files are approved
Manages the printing process including pre-press, proof approval, press checks and delivery
Handles special projects as assigned
REQUIRED SKILL SET/QUALITIES
Possess ever evolving design skills with a solid sense of typography and creative strategies to solve projects
Ability to manage and prioritize workloads, with flexibility to adjust to changing business needs and priorities
Can manage projects from concepts to completion in the lead role with minimal supervision
Acquires a strong sense of personal ownership in projects and seeing them through to the end
Finesse to work with and lead multiple personality types
Organized, professional and enthusiastic presence
Excellent attention to detail and follow through
Open and direct communicator
Ability to present projects to the internal team, managers and departments

Bachelors degree required in graphic design or related field
5-7 years of credible design experience in any of the following areas: advertising agency, graphic design studio or creative agency
Experience and work samples (catalogs, brochures, brand identity, packaging, advertisements) relevant to job position must be presented
Must pass required background checks: criminal and drug test.

Brief Description:
Full-time position in the marketing department to formulate internal and external communications as part of a dedicated marketing team. Responsible for writing and developing copy in the appropriate voice and tone for multiple brands, focused on various mediums and audiences.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Writing and Editing
Reads, analyzes and becomes familiar with all existing copy in order to write in the appropriate voice for each brand.
Writes technical copy for product packaging, instructions, catalogs, training materials and sales collateral.
Writes articles for the Centric newsletter, as well as other forms of internal communication.
Writes copy for advertisements, email blasts, point of sale materials, flash presentations and videos.
Ability to write copy that establishes an emotional connection with the consumer.
Creates product names, product descriptions and collection names.
Presents drafts of all product copy to marketing manager for review.
Evaluates feedback, corrects and revises all copy until approved.
Formats copy for translation and manages translation files for 10+ languages.
Manages the translation process and ensures that all files are received in a timely manner.
Diligently proofs work both before it is handed off to a marketing manager and after it is in layout.
Proofs presentation materials and other written forms of communication prepared by other departments as needed, providing recommendations for improvement.
Performs other duties as assigned by manager.
2. Strategy
Attends meetings with product development to learn about products. Obtains information and data for publication, verifying facts and clarifying information as needed.
Actively involved in developing unique selling propositions for product collections and formulating product positioning.
Contributes to the development and refinement of editorial tone and voice for each brand.
Participates in creative concepting with other members of the marketing team to formulate ideas for advertisements, email blasts, point of sale materials and other collateral.
Researches competitor products and how they are represented in print and online and presents recommendations to help our brands sustain a competitive advantage.
Researches other topics as needed to help strengthen content of marketing materials.
Performs other duties as assigned by manager.
Required Skill Set/Qualities:
B.A. degree in communications, journalism, public relations or marketing.
Strong written, verbal and presentation skills required. Samples of written work must be provided.
Ability to create poignant and targeted messages to varied audiences.
Ability to present to the internal team and managers.
Organized, diligent worker who takes ownership of assigned work.
Fast-paced, dedicated individual, capable of multi-tasking.
Excellent attention to detail.
Enjoys working in a collaborative, team environment.
